Anna M. (Carrado) Frasca
Anna M. Frasca, 98, of Rome, entered into eternal rest and was welcomed into heaven on April 25, 2023, after a brief illness. She was born in Rome, N.Y. on January 13, 1925, the daughter of the late Nicola (Nick) and Irma Panara Carrado. Anna attended Rome schools and was a graduate of Rome Free Academy. On April 26, 1958, Anna was united in marriage to Albert L. Frasca in a ceremony which took place in St. John the Baptist Church of Rome. This blessed union lasted 39 years until Alberts passing on October 15, 1997. Anna was a dedicated and valued employee; she was proud of her work history first being employed in New York City by Standard Oil of New Jersey and then as a purchasing agent for Oneida County until her retirement.
She was a member of St. John the Baptist Church and was very passionate in her catholic faith. Forming a prayer group with her sister-in-law, Mary and cousin, Patricia. Together they met weekly for many years in prayer. Anna also enjoyed their annual trips to Our Lady of Martyrs Shrine in Auriesville, N.Y. and to the Shrine of Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupre in Quebec, Canada.
Anna is survived by her sons, Henry and John Frasca; a brother, Raymond Carrado; a brother-in-law, Ernest (Marie) Frasca; sisters-in-law, Sue and Patricia Frasca; a special cousin, Dr. Patricia DeMatteo; along with many cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was predeceased by a son Albert L. Frasca Jr.; sisters, Palma and Lucy Carrado, Dora (Alfred) McLane; brothers; Marty (Mary) Carrado, Nick (Nancy) Carrado; father and mother-in-law, Henry and Martha Campanaro Frasca; brothers-in-law, Charles, Joseph, James, Frank Frasca, Ricky (Lena) Frasca; and Lucas (Antoinette) Frasca; two sisters-in- law, Helen (Edward) Anania and Kathleen Frasca; a nephew David Frasca.
In accordance with Anna’s wishes there are no calling hours. A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 5, 2023, at 1 P.M at St. John the Baptist Church of Rome. Inurnment St. Johns Cemetery.
