I’ll always remember your Mom being a pretty cool customer when us boys were acting up. The only time I could get her riled up is when I would challenge anything related to her belief system. Both Anna and my Mother would really get their hackles up in that case! Take care men and I’m sorry I could not get out of the commitment I had made for Friday thus not being able to attend, hope to see you soon!!

Aunt Anna invited us to a Panara Family Reunion on Seneca Lake in 1996. Another wonder family gathering which I'm sure she must have helped to organize.

We were thrilled to enjoy Aunt Anna's company all together in 2015 when we came in from around the country for a family wedding: Amy Carrado, Nick Carrado, Diane Simmons, the Neis clan (Jean, Kevin, Emily, Elizabeth, Patrick), and Katie & Joe Gregar.

Aunt Anna loved all of her nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She saw a resemblance between photos of herself as a child with great-niece Adriana.

This is one of my favorite photos of my mother Mary and Aunt Anna. From 1998. Around this time the two of them drove out to visit us in Chicago. They made the trip in 2-3 days, taking their time but before the internet, GPS and cell phones were prevalent. I was worried sick, and rightfully so with the stories they told of their adventures afterwards. Forevermore I referred to them as Thelma & Louise.

Visiting my aunts and uncles in Florida over the years has been a special joy. Pictured here are many of us in 2005: Nicky, Mary, Marty, Anna, Ray, Nancy, Katie, and Joe.

My Aunt Anna hosted more family events and dinners than I could possibly count, many of them in this Liberty St. dining room. Pictured here in 2005 are cousin Henry, Anna, my mother Mary Carrado and me. We shared a love of cooking and hosting family time over meals in our homes.

My mother married into the wonderful Carrado and Frasca families in 1959, gaining more close sisters along the way. Pictured from left to right are Pam Carrado, Anna, Mary Ballard Carrado and Anne Ballard McGinley.

Aunt Anna said my husband Joe reminded her of George Peppard, a handsome actor from long ago, and always referred to him as "my Georgie". Pictured here in 2007 for Amy & Kurt's wedding.

This photo shows the long-standing prayer group of my Aunt Anna with my mother Mary Carrado and cousin Pat DeMatteo. The angels Aunt Anna "posted at the four corners of my car" have come through more than once, I'm sure of it.

It deeply saddens me in the passing of my sister Anna. I have such fond memories of spending the winters in Florida with Anna, my brothers Nicky & Marty, my sister-in-laws Mary & Nancy. Four to five times a week I would cook, we would have dinner together, and then play cards which always lead to wonderful fights. I will always miss the dinners and fights and our wonderful family companionship. I am positive the card games continue in Heaven. I love you Anna and may your soul rest in peace.

Oh Mrs. Frasca there are so many memories over the past 55 plus years with your house only a block away when I lived in Rome. You welcomed me into your home and treated me like family and I'll never forget that. May God welcome you into Heaven and may you now rest in eternal peace.
