Please share a memory of Thomas to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Thomas “Tommy” Washburn Jr., 29, of Rome, NY passed away unexpectedly on April 21, 2021. Tommy was born January 1, 1992, son of Lorrie Foss and Thomas Washburn Sr. He was a 2010 graduate of Holland Patent High School. Tommy was an incredibly hard worker who loved staying busy, working with hands, while sometimes wearing his cowboy boots. When Tom was not working, he was cherishing moments with his son Jonah Lee Washburn. Tommy adored his wife Sarah Elizabeth Washburn. Tommy was a family man who also loved his siblings, Katelynn and Dalton Washburn, and Miranda and Dawson Foss. Though Tommy had a lot of loves, soccer was his first. He commonly referred to himself as Tommy Danza. Anyone who knew Tom knows he would be the source of a room full of laughter; his jokes were one of a kind. Tommy was so smart and would surprise everyone with his quick puns and remarks. Tommy is predeceased by his grandparents, Carol and Frank Washburn, and Aunt, Mary Cardinal. He is survived by grandparents Mark and Mary Manderville, and step grandparents James and Susan Foss; parents Lorrie and James Foss, and Thomas and Tina Washburn. Also, in-laws James (Bruce) Miller and Catherine Miller; siblings Katelynn Washburn and Michael Meislin, Dalton Washburn, Miranda Foss, and Dawson Foss; in laws Jessica and Adam Koury and Emily and Christopher DeCruze; niece Charlotte DeCruze; aunts & uncles: Dawn and James Heinrich, Amy and Michael Mulligan; cousins: Amanda and Karla Heinrich, Michael, Desiree, & Kelcie Mulligan. Funeral services are private and there are no calling hours. Arrangements by Strong-Burns & Sprock Funeral Home 7751 Merrick Road, Rome.
