Obituary of James J. Dunn

James J. Dunn James J. Dunn, 78, of Rome, passed away peacefully on October 31, 2018, at The Grand Nursing Home. He was born on May 12, 1940, a son of the late James and Clara Sims Dunn. He was a graduate of St. Aloysius Academy, M.V.C.C. and the Harpur School of Management of SUNY Binghamton. Jim proudly served in the United States Army from 1959-1961. He was formerly employed by the City of Rome as a Police Officer until his retirement. Jim owned and operated Dunn's Janitorial & Security Service of Rome. He was a member of St. Peter's Church, 82nd Airborne Chapter, 101st Airborne Division and Life Member of 187 Airborne IN. Jim is survived by dear friend, Dave Parsons of Floyd. He was predeceased by a brother William E. Dunn. Memorial contributions may be made St. Peter's Church Memorial Fund 105 East Liberty Street, Rome N.Y. 13440 A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Peter's Church.
