Jim and his family were neighbors of ours when we llived on 216 E Garden St.. He and my father, Maurice, had an ongoing thing about their gardens. Jim thought there MUST be someethng my father was doing to make his garden grow so well. Jim just couldn't compete with his. I think the only thing my Dad did was to bury perhaps som e fish (I couldn't swear to it tho)lol. After my Dad died and my mother came to live with me, Jim asksed if it would be ok if were to plant somethings in in my Dad's garden, and of course we answere "yes". He planted some green beans which he was kind enough to share with my Mom and me. He even brought me a bunch of fish, smelt to be exact. I often have wondered if he had planted a few in the garden. He's a trip. What a guy. My Mom and Dad always thought well of Jim and so did I. He did have a good heart, and was always respsectful as well as kind to my parents.
Both my parents have passed on, but I can never forget Jimmy's relationship....the true friendship, the lauaghter and good times he had with us. Please accept my condolences on his passing and my good wishes for all of you.
