John Patrick "Pat" Mulligan John Patrick Mulligan, 70 of Utica, passed away unexpectedly , on January 22, 2018, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family and friends. He was born on December 7, 1947 in Oswego, N.Y. a son of the late Richard F. and Natalie J. O'Toole Mulligan. Pat was a graduate of Notre Dame High School in Utica, N.Y. He honorably served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Era. On February 28, 1987 he was united in marriage to Noreen Basham. For over 26 years Pat was employed by the Rome City School District as a Custodian. Pat was an avid bowler and diehard Yankee and Bill's fan. He enjoyed spending quality time with his loving family. Pat is survived by his loving wife, Noreen, Utica; two daughters and sons-in-law, Heather and Tyler Van Scooter, Oriskany, Jyl and Tim Bailey, Utica; a son and daughter-in-law, Christopher and Rebecca Mc Sweeney, Rome; two sisters and brother-in-law, Colleen Mulligan, Utica, Patricia and Gary Stack, Westland, MI; six beautiful grandchildren ;aunts, uncles and several cousins. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association 125 Business Park Drive Suite 106, Utica N.Y. 13502 Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 26, 2018, at 6:00 P.M. at Strong-Burns & Sprock Funeral Home 7751 Merrick Road, Rome. Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Friday from 3-6 P.M. prior to the service
