Joseph D. Brooks, 70, of Rome, passed away at Rome Memorial Hospital, on November 23, 2017.He was born on July 7, 1947, in Oneida, N.Y. a son of the late Floyd and Sara Redman Brooks. Joseph proudly served in the United States Army from 1968-1970. He was employed by AL McLeash Contracting, until his retirement.
Joseph is survived by two brothers, Floyd Brooks of Florida and John Brooks of Utica; a nephew Robert Hannay, Camden; special friends, Al McLeash, Mary and Donald Kent. He was predeceased by three sisters, Linda Brown, Rena Hannay and JoAnn Kingwater.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 5, 2017, at 7:00P.M. at Strong-Burns & Sprock Funeral Home 7751 Merrick Road, Rome. Calling hours 5-7 P.M. prior to the service. Interment will take place in St. Johns Cemetery, Camden.
