William Washington Jr., 78, of Rome, passed away June 13, 2017. He was born on June 30, 1938 in Bronx, NY, the son of the late William and Eleanor Washington. Bill served in the United States Air Force retiring from Griffiss Air Force Base, Rome, NY, and also retired from Mohawk Valley Psychiatric Center, Utica, NY. He was a graduate of Herman Ridder Junior High School, Bronx, NY and had attended Mohawk Valley Community College, Rome, NY. He was predeceased by wives Delcine Elaine Washington and Minnie Lee Washington as well as his sister Mary Washington. He is survived by his current wife Janet Carol Washington; his children Debra Richardson, David Washington, Steven Washington, Anthony Washington, Danielle Washington, Nicole Washington, and step children Camille Jackson and Thomas Jackson, many grandchildren, and his sister Annabelle Washington. Family and Friends are invited to attend the calling hours on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 from 4-5pm at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at 5:30 pm at Strong-Burns & Sprock Funeral Service, 7751 Merrick Road, Rome, NY. Flowers, charity donations, and condolences may be sent to Strong-Burns & Sprock Funeral Service. Burial with Military Honors will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
