Obituary of Marjorie Iris Gordon

Marjorie Iris Gordon Marjorie Iris Gordon 67, of Rome passed away peacefully on April 13, 2017, with her loving family at her side. She was born on April 12, 1950 in Rome N.Y. a daughter of the late Horace and Elizabeth Kilbourn LaSalle. Marjorie was educated in Holland Patent Schools and was employed by Mohawk Valley Psychiatric Center until her retirement. She is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law; Rachel and Timothy Briggs, Oriskany and Holly Williams, Rome; two sisters, Joyce Whittaker and husband George, Sylvia LaSalle; three cherished grandchildren, Julia and Hannah Briggs and Phillip Williams III; nephews, Bradley Whittaker and wife, Glenda , Matthew Whittaker and wife Tanya; great nieces and nephews, Sarah, James, Alison and Craig, all of Marcy; best friends, Elouise Johnson, Rome and Donna Zammiello, N.Y. Mills. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105 Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at 12:00 P.M. at Strong-Burns & Sprock Funeral Home 7751 Merrick Road, Rome. Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Tuesday from 10:00A.M. to 12:00 P.M. prior to the service.
