Shawn T. Gentile

Shawn T. Gentile, 59, of Lee, passed away unexpectedly on December 5, 2016. She was born on December 2, 1957 in Rochester, N.Y. a daughter of the late Gordon and Jacqueline Parsons Taylor. Shawn was a graduate of R.F.A. and operated her own cleaning service, named STG Cleaning Services; she was formerly employed by Rome Memorial Hospital. Shawn was formerly united in marriage to Frank Gentile, of Rome. Shawn loved animals and was always trying to find a home for Strays. She loved spending time on Lake Delta, swimming and water skiing. Shawn married Charlie Beimel on September 3, 2005 in Lee.

She is survived by her husband Charlie Beimel of Ilion; a son Christopher Gentile, of Rome; a brother and sister-in-law, Timothy and Linda Taylor, Rochester; a niece Abigail Taylor; special friend AL Meier; several beloved canine companions. Shawn was predeceased by a sister Tracy K. Taylor on August 22, 2016.

A memorial service for Shawn will be held on Monday January 16, 2017 at 4:00 P.M. at Strong- Burns & Sprock Funeral Home 7751 Merrick Road, Rome. Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Monday from 2-4 P.M. prior to the service.
