Mark "Knobby" Knobloch Mark S. Knobloch, 49, of Utica, and formerly of Rome, passed away unexpectedly at his home on September 27, 2017. He was born on June 12, 1968, in Rome, a son of the late Donald and Kathryn Whitmyer Knobloch. Mark graduated from R.F.A. in 1986; he then went on to earn an Associate Degree from SUNY Alfred. Mark was formerly employed by Bus Industries in Oriskany, he also did construction work with several area contractors. One of Mark's favorite jobs was being a "roadie" for several local bands. He is survived by two sisters and one brother-in-law, Debbie and Bill Joyce of Lee, Laure Haines and fiancé, Steven Fogelman of Blossvale; two nephews, Zachary and Stephen Joyce; two nieces, Paige and Alyssa Haines. Mark's beloved girlfriend, Patti Guido Althoff of Whitesboro, a very special person, filled Mark's last year on this earth with joy and happiness. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother Michael R. Knobloch. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October, 3, 2017 at 7:00 P.M. at Strong-Burns & Sprock Funeral Home 7751 Merrick Road, Rome. Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Tuesday from 4-7 P.M. prior to the service. Private interment for family will take place at a later date
