Natalie J. Senesen, 76, of Whitesboro and formally of Rome, passed away on June 21, 2017 at the Presbyterian Home, with her loving family by her side. Natalie was born in Rome, NY on August 10, 1940, a daughter of the late George and Wanda Blair Converse. Natalie was educated in Oriskany Schools and was a member of St. Mary's Church. She was united in marriage to Chester Senesen on April 6, 1963, a blessed marriage for 38 years. Natalie enjoyed working at the Rome Veterinary Hospital as a bookkeeper for over 32 years. We never knew what type of animals she would bring home "Just for a few days"! Love you Mom. Natalie is survived by two daughters and their spouses, Kathleen and Thomas Smith of Marcy and Jennifer and Michael Sletten of Rome. Nana also leaves behind four cherished grandchildren, Stephen and Emily Smith and Nathaniel and Alexander Sletten. Natalie is also survived by her brother Donald Converse and his special friend Mellony Light. Natalie was predeceased by her beloved husband Chester, daughter Darlene Meyers, sister and brother-in-law Florence and Jerald Hunter, nephew William Hunter, sister-in-law Gail Converse, nephew Donald Converse Jr., sister-in-law and brother-in-law Laura (Senesen) and William Cavanaugh and her special friend and rock "Tom Cat". A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1pm Saturday, June 24, 2017 at St. Mary's Church in Rome. Friends and family are welcome to pay their respects Saturday 11:00-Noon at Strong-Burns and Sprock Funeral Home, 7751 Merrick Rd., Rome. Interment will take place at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Whitesboro Monday, June 26, 2017 at 10:00am.
