Ada E. Richardson Ada E. Richardson 93, of Lee, passed away peacefully on April 17, 2017. She was born on November 21, 1923 in Rome, N.Y. a daughter of the late John and Mildred Cook Edwards. Ada was a graduate of R.F.A. class of 1942, after high school Ada continued her education at C.C.B.I. in Syracuse. On September 12, 1947 Ada was united in marriage to Irving E. Richardson. Irving passed away on January 30, 1982. Ada was formerly employed at Motorola Inc. of Rome and Rome Savings Bank; she also served as past Secretary Treasurer of the Town of Lee Fire District. Ada was a member of the Delta United Methodist Church in Lee. Ada owned Irvada's Blueberry Lane. She is survived by her loving children, Karen and Harvey Mummert, Lee, Janet and Frank DeCristo, Lee, Laurie and Steve Heberle, West Palm Beach, FL, Shelley and Keith Berry, Lee, Brian and Roxanne Richardson, Memphis, N.Y.; one sister Marian and Walter Rapke, Ava; one brother Marlow and Claire Edwards, Rome; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; a sister-in-law Marjorie Edwards, Grant, N.Y.; Ada was predeceased by a sister Jean Evans and a brother K. Ray Edwards. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Delta United Methodist Church 6285 Hawkins Corners Road Rome, N.Y. 13440 Funeral services will be held on April 22, 2017 at 7:P.M. at Strong-Burns & Sprock Funeral Home 7751 Merrick Road, Rome. Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Saturday from 4-7 P.M. prior to the service. Interment will take place in Evergreen Cemetery, Stokes.
