Obituary of Jane F. Pope

Please share a memory of Jane to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Jane F. Pope, 85, of Blossvale, NY passed away on January 1, 2025. Born on September 12, 1939, she was a daughter of Harold Pope and Ethel Meese.

Jane was a loving homemaker, her time was spent focusing on her sons, always making sure to be their biggest cheerleader. She was a talented seamstress with a great eye for detail, her ability to sew and hem was unmatched. Always the maternal type, Jane was always helping friends and family in need of childcare, which kept her busy for many years. She was a member of the Royal Neighbor. She was an active member of the St. John’s Lutheran church. Jane enjoyed time spent with friends and family, but her greatest sense of pride was her children and grandchildren. Jane’s warm presence and kind heart will be missed by all who knew her.

Jane is survived by her sons Richard Dole of Taberg, Terry (Suzanne) Dole of Blossvale, Curtis Dole (Jessica Allemann) of Taberg, and Louis Dole (SueAnne Mulverhill) of Rome; sisters Elizabeth Snell, Sheila Turner, Virginia Snow, and Luella Talerico; a daughter in law Tricia Dole; 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brothers William Pope, John Pope, George Pope, Joe Pope, and Charles Pope; sister Sally, brother in laws Bud Snell, Oscar Turner, and Nick Talerico.

Friends and family are invited to call on Sunday, January 5, 2024, from 1-3 at Strong-Burns & Sprock Funeral Home, 7751 Merrick Rd, Rome, NY 13440. A funeral service will follow at 3:00PM.
