Zachariah Edward Michael Duffy

   Zachariah Edward Michael Duffy, 39, of Syracuse N.Y.  and formerly of Rome N.Y. passed away on November 10, 2024. Born on September 26, 1985, Zachariah was known for his vibrant personality, artistic flair and as someone who was always the life of the party. He had a passion for horror and Disney movies and his humor brought laughter to all who knew him.

   A talented makeup artist, Zachariah was a licensed cosmetologist and certified hair colorist, having worked at various salons over the past 15 years. His creative spirit was not just limited to his career,  he was also an active artist, a drag queen performer and proud graduate of the Barbizon Modeling School in Syracuse, N.Y., where he was also a winner of the Barbizon Modeling Show Competition.

   Zachariah graduated from Rome Free Academy in 2005. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his father, Edward Michael Duffy; step-mother, Paula Elizabeth Bochniak; brothers, Elijah Caleb, Devin Lowell and Ezra Royal Duffy; sisters, Kiah Rose, Zoe Ruth Agnes, Sophie Elizabeth and Keely Ann Duffy along with many aunts, uncles and cousins; very special friends, Brittani Pirillo and family. He was preceded in death by his mother, Sara Elizabeth Natalia Mendoza Duffy.

   Calling hours will be held on Friday, November 22, 2024, at Strong-Burns & Sprock Funeral Home 7751 Merrick Road, Rome from 6 to 9 P.M. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10 A.M. at St. Peter’s Church of Rome. Interment will take place in St. Agnes Cemetery on Mohawk Street, Utica, N.Y.
