Larry J. Filoso


   Larry J. Filoso, 68, of Rome, beloved husband and father, passed away peacefully with his family at his side on March 9,2024, at the Wynn Hospital following a long illness. He was born in Geneva, NY a son of Gaetano and Mary Raney Filoso. He was united in marriage to Tabitha Jaynes in 1992, in Rome NY. Together they raised three children, Christopher, Shanelle and Kaylee. For over 25 years Larry drove Taxi in Rome for Browns Taxi. Fort Stanwix Taxi and Elite Taxi.


   He is survived by his wife, Tabitha of Rome, a son and daughter-in-law, Christopher and Jaylnn of Savannah NY; two daughters, Shanelle Filoso “Jeff Brown” of Union Springs and Kaylee Filoso of Rome. In-laws, Frederick and Norma Jaynes; ten grandchildren, Keara, Nick, Kristina, Emily, Logan, Laila, Jeremiah, Liam, Ezekiel and Antonio;  great grandson, Antonio Joseph. a special niece Nicole Blanchard, who shared the same love for the Pittsburg Steelers; Larry was predeceased by a grandson, Keegan.


Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, from 3 - 6 P.M. at Strong-Burns & Sprock Funeral Home 7751 Merrick Road, Rome. A Celebration of Life will be follow at 6 P.M.
