Obituary of Deborah A. Varano

Deborah A. Varano, 69, of Rome, NY, and formerly of California, passed away on January 2, 2024, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Born February 7, 1955, she was the daughter of Angelo Varano and Marie Ferrare Varano. Deborah was educated at Rome Free Academy, and following graduation she pursued her bachelor’s degree at SUNY IT. Deborah had a successful career as a scheduler at West L.A. Hospital. Deborah took pride in her work and was a valued employee. Deborah had a kind heart and will be missed by those who knew her.

Deborah is survived by her brother Ralph Varano, she was predeceased by her parents Angelo and Marie Varano.

The Varano family wishes to thank all the staff of B Wing at Colonial Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, for the wonderful care and compassion which they provided to Deborah during her stay.

Funeral services are private and there are no calling hours. Interment will take place in St. Johns Cemetery.
