Dean G. Cooper, 59, of Verona Beach, passed away peacefully at his home on June 1, 2023, with his beloved wife and family at his side, following a brief illness. He was born on July 27, 1963, in Rome, N.Y., the son of Richard H. and Donna Patch Cooper. Dean was a graduate of V.V.S. High School, Class of 1981. Dean was united in marriage to the love of his life, Colleen Butler and they were inseparable for 36 years. Together they attended college and owned and operated Sliver City Café in Sherrill and Deano’s Blues & Barbecue in Canastota. Most recently people will remember Dean as the former Chef at Ebeneezer’s Restaurant in Sherrill.  Dean was an all-around sportsman who especially enjoyed golf and fishing. He volunteered at the 50 Forward Center in Verona Beach cooking lunch for the residents. He was a talented musician who loved to play the Blues, Dean played in the Braden James Band and All Cued up band which toured around Florida.
