I’m a heartbroken to hear of Jason’s passing. I only knew him for one year in 6th grade but remember him fondly. RIP

Tag was more than a teacher to me. This past year I grew way closer with him, to the point where I saw him as like a parent. I waited months until he got back worried, concerned, hoping he would turn back up, and he did. Brighter than ever. I saw him smile genuinely for the first time since I met him. I would go visit him, leave jokes on his chalkboard, talk with him. Vent to him. Our whole "bit" together was pretending we hated each other, but we both knew it was just a joke. There were times where we would drop the act and have conversations. Relate to each other. I felt heard, something I don't feel often. The friday before he passed, he was telling me how better he felt. How proud he was of himself. Cracked a few jokes, smiled. I was so happy that he was finally starting to feel better. It devastated me when he passed. It still does. I miss him so much every single day. I cry. But I'm so happy he got to feel better and surrounded by love even if it eventually came to a close. I miss you, Tag. Thank you for saving me in my darkest times.

I’ll always remember him as a fun guy. Glad I got to know him throughout high school. He was an absolute favorite among students because his wit, sense of humor, and kindness were one of a kind. I’m really going to miss him!

I was a student of Mr. Tag's 10 years ago and to this day he was still one of my favorite teachers. The energy he brought to the classroom was memorable, the joy he had was infectious, his enjoyment for teaching was clearly displayed in every class of his, he was a natural at it. When he passed, it spread like wildfire amongst his prior students, we are all mourning his loss but will never forget the memories he provided us. Westmoreland Central School lost one of its best and most memorable teachers. I am thankful to have had him for class, earth science would never have been as fun and as interesting without him. He will forever be remembered.

I had the privilege of playing High School and Lee Legion baseball with Tag. He was a great athlete and an even better person. Rest easy my friend.

Going to miss you my friend. It had been a while since I talked to you last. Wish I would have reached out earlier to see how you were doing. Going to remember those drives to Lee Legion baseball practices. Stopping at the creek to get some water after. Hitting thousands of ground balls to you to get you ready to roll for games. We had some times buddy. I am sure going to miss you. Rest easy Tag.

I remember the day Jason was born as if was yesterday. He was the cutest, blonde haired, happiest baby who grew into a respectful, smart, handsome, father, son, grandson, and friend. The tributes left by his students only scratched the service of how wonderful he truly was as a teacher and mentor. Rest in eternal peace Jason ❤️❤️

I was very honored to have been a part of Jason and his Famlies life.
Jason is a former player that I had the extreme pleasure of Coaching in both Football and Baseball. Grandpa Jack was my right hand during Our Legion Days together and cherished the ground Jason walked on.
Every once in a while you have the opportunity to Coach very special individuals during your time. Jason was definitely one of them. 4 years we spent together and Ill cherish the memories of him until the day we meet again.
Though he has passed this life way to soon, the impact he had on others will most definitely carry on.
Lee Legion forever Tag!!!
