Kathleen Judith “Williams” Sandouk
Kathleen Judith Sandouk, 75, of Westmoreland, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2023, at the home of her daughter Faith, with her loving family by her side. She was born on June 26, 1947, in Utica, N.Y., a daughter of the late Howard and Barbara Jones Williams. Kathleen attended Utica Free Academy and went on to continue her education at Mohawk Valley Community College. She loved the arts, enjoyed the Walt Disney movies, and especially loved doing ceramics. Her family and friends will remember her as a truly caring person who was always willing to help others in their time of need. Prior to her retirement, she was employed by the Women’s and Children’s Center of Louisville, KY before moving back to the Utica/Rome area. Kathleen was employed by the Oneida County Department of Social Services as a Caseworker. Kathleen was a staunch advocate of the prevention of Domestic Violence.
She is survived by three daughters and 2 sons-in-law; Faith and Bob Link, Westmoreland, Debbie Price and Eric Stutler, Liverpool, Kathleen “K.G.” (George) Sandouk; two sisters, Eloise Sykes, Westernville, Maureen and Sherman Williams, Indiana; ten grandchildren, five great grandchildren and five fur grandbabies; special friends, Linda Scholefield, Debbie Fura, Bonnie Anna, Ken Bianco, Diane Fister, Georgette Retamar, Linda Fish, Phil & Eileen Logalbo. Kathleen was predeceased by both parents, a daughter, Lisa Marie Richards and a brother, Floyd “Butch “Jones.
To honor Kathleen, the family will have a Celebration of Life mass at Our Lady of the Rosary Church on Burrstone Rd., Utica on Thursday, April 27 at 4 PM. The family will be providing envelopes for monetary donations on behalf of Hospice of Central New York.
