Carole K. Carrier
Carole K. Carrier, 89, of Rome, passed away peacefully on December 6, 2022, at Rome Health, following a long illness. She was born on February 11, 1933, in Rome N.Y. a daughter of the late John and Ernestine Brennan Kelly. Carole was a graduate of Rome Free Academy Class of 1951. She continued her education at Suny Plattsburg School of Nursing, upon graduation Carole trained at Albany Medical Center. On February 11, 1956, she was united in marriage to Robert M. Carrier. Together they raised three children, Kimberly, Susan and Amy. Carole was formerly employed by Rome Hospital, she then accepted a position with the Rome City School District as a school nurse prior to her retirement. She was a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church of Rome, Teugega Country Club, Lake Delta Yacht Club, Bittersweet Twig and the Wednesday Morning Club.
Carole is survived by her beloved husband, Robert; daughters, Kimberly A. Carrier, Rome, Susan (Fred) Newton, Charlestown, RI; a son-in-law, Stephen Osgood, Acton, MA; a sister Maureen (James) Pekarski, Rome; five grandchildren, Chase (Gillian), Olivia and Quinn Osgood, Emma and Phoebe Newton; a great grandson, Hunter Osgood; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Amy Osgood who passed away on October 21, 2011, along with a brother, John “Jack” Kelly who passed on November 24, 2007.

Carole’s family would like to thank the 3rd Floor Staff of Rome Health for the excellent care they provided to Carole during her stay.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, December 10,2022, at 11 A.M. at St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Church of Rome. Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Friday from 4-7 P.M. at Strong-Burns & Sprock Funeral Home 7751 Merrick Road, Rome. Interment will take place in St. Peter’s Cemetery.
