Obituary of Susanne D. Short

Susanne D. (Parker) Short Susanne D. Short, 78, of Bonita Springs, FL and formerly of Rome, passed away on May 22, 2022. She was born in Watertown on June 25, 1943, a daughter of the late Neil and Marjorie (Worden) Parker. Susanne was a Rome Public School elementary teacher and enriched the lives of many students during her 32 year career. It warmed her heart when students came back years later to thank her for the life lessons she had taught them. In her free time Susanne enjoyed scrapbooking and jigsaw puzzles. Susanne is survived by her loving husband Brian of 55 years, two sons, Michael and Gregory, four grandsons, one granddaughter, three great grandsons and one great granddaughter. Susanne's family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Joanne's House at Hope Hospice for their excellent care and compassion for Susanne and her family. There are no calling hours. Susanne was fortunate enough to have a three day celebration of life surrounded by family with her laughing and smiling through it all.
