Jeanne M. Mono, 85, went to her eternal home on Saturday, March 12, 2022, at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Utica, NY. Jeanne was born on March 7, 1937, Lowville, NY. She was the daughter of John and Ruth Wilder Lustyik. Jeanne graduated from General Martin School in 1953. She was a college graduate as well as a lifelong learner with various certifications. Jeanne had owned and operated various businesses during her lifetime and was a retired government employee. She had a witty, rather dry sense of humor. Jeanne enjoyed sewing, knitting, and making blankets for her family. She had completed a blanket for her last-born grandchild just prior to numerous hospitalizations, rehabs, and her final home at Sunset Nursing Home. Jeanne enjoyed gardening, canning tomatoes, applesauce, and jams. She was also a member of various community and civic organizations throughout her lifetime. Of all her interests, her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren held a special place in her heart. IN her younger years she enjoyed camping, traveling, and being outdoors with her family. Jeanne is survived by her three children, Deborah (Carl), Michael (Kate), and Bethany/Muff, as well as her six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren, her brother Donald and wife Barbara, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents, brother Jack, a niece Karen, and nephew Kenneth. The family would like to thank the staff at Sunset Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Boonville for their compassion and kindness during her stay there. You had become family to her, Thank you. A private memorial service and funeral will take place in the future. Arrangements are entrusted to Strong-Burns & Sprock Funeral Home 7751 Merrick Road, Rome.
