Michael A. Ferlo


Michael A. Ferlo, 57, of Rome, passed away on September 6, 2021, after a long illness. He was born on December 9, 1963, in Rome, N.Y. a son of Thomas and Patricia Weber Ferlo. Michael was a graduate of Camden High School, where he enjoyed playing on the Varsity Football Team. Following graduation, Michael pursued a career in Culinary Arts. Michael became an accomplished Chef, working at many five-star restaurants across the United States. He enjoyed watching N.Y. Yankees Baseball and will be remembered by family and friends as a kind gentle soul.

He is survived by his parents, Thomas and Patricia Ferlo, Rome; a cherished daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Edmond Manooken, CA; a brother and sister-in-law, Christopher and Cynthia Ferlo, N.J.; twin grandchildren, Gianna and Julian; along with several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Thomas Ferlo; grandparents, Thomas and Isabella Ferlo.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, September 12, 2021, at 4 PM at Strong-Burns & Sprock Funeral Home 7751 Merrick Road, Rome.
