Dennis B. Hayes, 47, of Elmer Hill Road, Rome, passed away at home on Saturday June 12, 2021.
He was born on June 13, 1973, in Rome, NY, a son of the late Chester and Joan (Petrie) Hayes. Dennis was a very outgoing and loveable person. He was loved by everyone he met.
Surviving are five brothers, Herman W. “Brian” and Laurette Wilson Jr., Steven M. Hayes, Russell J. Hayes, Eric B. Hayes, all of Lee Center, and Mark A. Hayes and Tina Testa of Rome; nephew Brandon M. Wilson of Lee Center; nieces, Shannon M. Wilson and fiancé Shawn Benedetti of Rome, Heather Matt of Lawton, OK; great nieces and nephews; several aunts, uncles, cousins and loved friends. He was predeceased by his parents Chester and Joan Hayes.
Funeral services will be held at 6pm on Wednesday, June 16, 2021, at Strong-Burns & Sprock Funeral Home, 7751 Merrick Road, Rome, NY. All are invited to call Wednesday from 3-6pm prior to the service. Burial will be at 1:30pm on Thursday at Evergreen Cemetery, Lee Center. Please respect current social distance guidelines.
