Obituary of Ronald Edward Lambert

Ronald Edward Lambert, 70, of Rome, passed away May 29, 2021 at Colonial Park Nursing Home. He was born on June 28, 1950, a son of the late Ivan E. and Dorothy (Sloper) Lambert. Ron graduated from RFA in 1969. He served his country in the United States Air Force from 1969-1973. Ron worked at Rome Cable and then retired from Bethany Gardens where he was a Transporter. He was an avid fan of the NY Mets and the NY Jets. He also enjoyed making crafts and needlepoint. He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Timothy and Debbie Lambert; a brother-in-law, Paul LaVigne; many nieces and nephews; and his beloved feline companion Bridget. He was predeceased by his parents, a sister Linda LaVigne, brother and sister-in-law Wendell and Susan Lambert, and a brother Daniel Lambert. All are invited to call Thursday, June 3, 2021 from 5-6pm at Strong-Burns & Sprock Funeral Home, 7751 Merrick Road, Rome. A Memorial Service will follow at the funeral home at 6pm.
