Obituary of Clarence Oliver Westcott III

Clarence O. Westcott III Clarence (Bubby) O. Westcott III, 76, of Rome, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2021, at the Rome Health Residential Health Care Center. He was born on February 22, 1945, in Rome N.Y. a son of the late Clarence and Sarah (Doretha) Lighthall Westcott Jr. He was united in marriage to Linda Kucharek in 1970. Linda predeceased Clarence on June 26, 2010. Clarence was employed by the Rome DDSO for over 25 years prior to his retirement. He was an avid fisherman who loved the outdoors. On rainy days Clarence loved to crochet and watch horror movies. Especially ones with Vincent Price. Clarence is survived by his daughter, Tina Westcott (Mark Bostwick), Rome; a brother and sister-in-law, Fredrick (Jimmy) and Christine Westcott, Rome; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Dolly and Steve Griffin, Nancy and David Johnson, Rome; cherished grandchildren, Brandy Snyder (Joshua), Trista Davis (Manny Pollard), and a great grandson, Otto. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at 6 PM at Strong-Burns & Sprock Funeral 7751 Merrick Road, Rome. Calling hours 4-6 PM prior to the service. Anyone planning to attend services is asked to please adhere to social distancing requirements.
