Obituary of Raella E. Basham

Raella E. Basham, 91, of Rome, passed away peacefully, on January 9, 2021, at the Betsy Ross Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. She was born on April 16, 1929, in Westmoreland, N.Y. a daughter of the late Clarence and Delma Gallaway. Raella was united in marriage to Marshall Basham Sr. on January 22, 1950, in Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Binghamton, together they raised five children. Marshall predeceased Raella on July 16, 2018. Raella was formerly employed by GE of Utica and Oneida Limited Silversmiths of Sherrill, until her retirement.
She is survived by her beloved children, Marshall Joseph Basham Jr. and wife Elizabeth, Yorkville, Kent Lee Basham, Rome, Michael Beverage Basham (Robin Gotham) Rome; two daughters, Noreen Mulligan, Utica, and Deborah and Rodney Bruce, Rome; a brother, Clarence Gallaway, Boonville; six grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. Raella was predeceased by a son-in-law, John Patrick Mulligan.
Funeral services are private and there are no calling hours.
