Willie Mae Bryant, aka “Rollie,” 82, passed peacefully on January 2, 2020 at Rome Hospital. She was born in Pompano Beach, Florida to the late Shelley Lee Herron and Annie Mae Campbell. Rollie lived life to the fullest. She was thoughtful, caring, and always willing to lend a helping hand to family and friends. Willie Mae attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, where she was a student of the Bible. She worked for many years as a Nurse’s Aide. Rollie was predeceased by her husband Ruben, her brother Adam, and sisters Lillie Mae Cooper, Essie Mae Griffiths, and Elouise Johnson (late Willie). She leaves to cherish her memory her brother Herbert Herron (late Margie), Shelly Punancy (Errol), and Gloria Herron (Mario). Rollie will also be deeply missed by a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family wishes to offer a special thank you to Mary Pugh, Tonya Hill, Betty Bodily, Dr. Patrick Grillo and his staff, Tom Thorngren and support staff at the Grand Nursing Home Adult Day Care Services, the staff at the Senior Network Health Services, staff at the Rome Hospital Emergency Department, and the EMTs for the loving, compassionate care, and friendship they provided to Rollie during her recent illnesses.
In keeping with her wishes, funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
