Obituary of Shirley E. Miller

Shirley E. Miller Shirley E. Miller 74, of Rome, passed away unexpectedly on December 1, 2020, at Faxton- St. Luke’s Hospital in New Hartford, N.Y. She was born on July 31, 1946, in Rome N.Y. a daughter of the late Chalmer and Bertha Pierce Hall. Shirley was educated in Rome Schools and was formerly employed by OTB of Rome. She loved to spend time with family and friends and especially enjoyed outings with her grandchildren. For several years Shirley volunteered as a bereavement counselor, serving families throughout Oneida County. She is survived by her beloved children, Bernie (Regina) Miller of Rome, Eugenia (Craig) Miller, Nevada; four grandchildren, Sean, Ryan, Elizabeth and Amanda Miller. Shirley was predeceased by a daughter Eileene Miller and a brother, Chalmer Hall. Funeral services are private and there are no calling hours. Interment will take place in Rome Cemetery.
