Thomas D. Chilluffo Sr. of Rome, NY, 74 passed away peacefully with his family by his side on November 22, 2020. A son of Anthony and Carmella (Summa) Chilluffo, Thomas was a graduate of Rome Free Academy and had a successful career at Rome D.D.S.O. where he was employed for 34 years. Thomas was an avid outdoorsman whether it be hunting, fishing, or riding ATV’s he could be found outdoors enjoying all that nature had to offer. He was a member of Camden Rod and Gun Club where he enjoyed shooting as a competitive hobby. He traveled to Newfoundland and Utah on Deer hunting adventures. Thomas also enjoyed watching a good football or baseball game. Most importantly Thomas enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Thomas leaves behind his three sons, Thomas Chilluffo Jr. (Victoria Shaut), James Chilluffo, and Michael Chilluffo; his best friend and love, Dawn Lasalle and her children Kim and Kelly and their families; brothers Daniel (Nancy) Chilluffo, Anthony (Kim) Chilluffo; special friends Carl and Cindy Guilano; grandchildren Tejay (Kathryn) and Taylor (Mike, Olivia (Austin) and Daniel; several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff at Faxton-St. Luke’s Hospital and the staff at the Katherine Lutheran Home, especially Amanda, for the wonderful care they provided to Thomas. Memorial contributions may be made to the Abraham House of Rome , 417 North Washington Street, Rome N.Y.13440. Funeral services are private and there are no calling hours.
