Please share a memory of Pauline to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Pauline E. “Nana” Kotary, 86, moved onto the next life August 12, 2020 with her loved ones by her side. Born February 21, 1934 to the late Clement and Leah (Rahmer) Bird in Daughtyville, PA. Pauline married the only love of her life, James H. Kotary, on April 7, 1951. They shared nearly 40 years of love, laughter and joy with each other and all their family and friends. Pauline enjoyed racing and was a big Bill Elliott fan, but a bigger fan of Richie Evans. She really liked to play bingo anywhere there was a game, even while on vacation. She is survived by her daughter, Judy (Terry) Moores; her son Karl Lee Kotary; five grandchildren, Jami (Leander) Jones, James Kotary, Keli (Matt) Jones, Patrick Hodge whom gave her care and comfort for the last years of her life, Michelle (Calvin) Kotary; seven great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; three brothers, Bernard (Blessed Unami Sikhosana) Bird, Ronnie Bird and Dennis Bird; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband; two brothers, Glen and Charles Bird; and infant granddaughter, Jami Moores. All who knew Pauline are welcome to a graveside service at 11am Saturday, August 15, 2020 at Crown Hill Memorial Park in Clinton. Please wear a mask and respect current social distancing guidelines. Arrangements by Strong-Burns & Sprock Funeral Home, Rome, NY. In lieu of flowers (Nana was never really a flower person anyway), please donate to the people at Sunset Nursing Home, Boonville, NY. Some GREAT people work there, and we THANK ALL the staff for their hard work!
