Obituary of Nick Sestito III

Nicholas “Nick” Sestito III, 63, of Lee Center, passed on July 9, 2020 at his home due to natural causes. Nick was born on March 16, 1957, in Rome N.Y. a son of the late Nicholas and Eileen Neiss Sestito. He attended high school in Beaver Creek, Ohio and V.V.S. He continued his education at Wright State University earning his Associates Degree in Humanities. Nick used his gift for poetry, song and music to connect to others. He was the proud owner of the popular karaoke business “Nick at Nite.” Nick grew up riding motorcycles and was an avid rider his entire life. He especially enjoyed traversing back country roads. He was an exceptional baseball player and avid Colts fan. A passionate animal lover, he would leap in to save even the smallest of creatures. Nick was a dedicated member of the Lee legion, proudly serving as Past Commander of the Sons of the American legion.
Nick is survived by two sisters; Linda (Lance) Blood, of Lee, Pamela (Larry) Lankster, from Florida; one brother, Neil Sestito; his cherished companion Terri Ball; a stepsister, Linda Soluske; several adoring nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends; and his very special furry companion Bully. He was predeceased by a sister, Karen Dickinson.

Nick had a heart of gold and an infectious laugh. His family and friends will always remember him for his caring, compassionate soul and magnetic personality. Nick brought joy to the world with his comedic nature and left you with a smile on your face. To all who knew him he will remain unforgettable.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at 6 P.M. at Strong-Burns & Sprock Funeral Home 7751 Merrick Road, Rome. Family and friends are invited to attended calling hours on Wednesday from 4-6 P.M. prior to the service. Anyone who plans to attend, is asked to please wear a face mask and adhere to social distancing requirements. Interment will take place in Lee Valley Cemetery.
