Obituary of Nola M. Wilkes

Nola M. Wilkes Nola M. Wilkes, 78, of Rome, passed away peacefully on April 11, 2020, at the Grand Nursing Home in Rome. She was born on March 31, 1942, a daughter of the late Maynard and Gladys Edick Reese. On November 12, 1960 she was united in marriage to Robert E. Wilkes Sr. in a ceremony which took place in the Zion Episcopal Church, Rome. Nola was formerly employed at Marcy Psychiatric Hospital, she then accepted a position with the Rome D.D.S.O. until her retirement. She is survived by her beloved husband, Robert Wilkes Sr.; three sons, Daniel Wilkes, TX, Brian and Steven Wilkes both of Rome; a daughter Nadine Wilkes and her fiancé John Carr, Rome; four brothers, William (Lori) Reese, Stittville, Maynard Reese, Taberg, Dennis (Diane) Reese, Rome, Gary (Nancy) Reese, Floyd; a sister, Pearl Parsons, Rome; twelve grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Nola was predeceased by a son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Andrea Wilkes; two sisters, Deanna Mullin and Patricia Moore. Funeral services are private and there are no calling hours.
