Utica - Deacon Louis C "LC" Robertson, age 93, departed this life Monday, February 24, 2020.
He was born May 5, 1926 in Gallion AL to Aileen (Shields) and Walter Robertson.
Louis moved to Rome NY at the age of 19 where he joined Mt. Calvary Baptist Church and has been a member for over 70 years. He served as Deacon, Vice Chairman and Chairman of the Deacon Board for 31 years. Deacon Robertson was a man of God that loved the Lord and his family.
Deacon Robertson is survived by his beloved wife Bertha "Bee" (Harvey); His children: Louis (Sherri) Robertson, Jacinto (Insuk) Gonzales, Anita (David) Sutherland, Julius (Patrice) Gonzales, Haki (Leslie) Nkrumah, Spencer (Charlene) Robertson, Michael Robertson and Talisha Robertson. His cherished 17 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, sisters inlaw, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He is predeceased by his siblings: Woody, Elmo, Walter, Dorothy Tims, and Octavia Lomax. Grandchildren: Trisha Robertson and Haki Nkrumah, Jr.
