Obituary of Dorothy Alice Link

    Dorothy Alice Link, 86, of Taberg, passed away on August 1, 2019, a day after her 86^th birthday.

     She was born on July 31, 1933, in Rome, N.Y. a daughter of the late Harold and Ruth Bradbury Clemens. Dorothy was a graduate of Camden High School and was formerly employed by the Rome D.D.S.O. and GE of Utica. She was united in marriage to Francis Edson Link Sr. on September 30, 1950, in Rome. Dorothy loved spending time with family and friends playing pitch.

    She is survived by three sons and three daughters in-law, Francis “Cisco” and Charlotte Link, Mexico, David and Clover Link, Redfield, Tim and Jodi Link, Taberg; a daughter, Marion Nelson (Greg Gautsch), WI; a brother, John (Shirley) Clemens; two sisters, Esther Martin and Nancy Montana; nineteen grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren.  Dorothy was predeceased by a son Harold Link and a daughter, Merrie Lyn Archer; two sisters, Virginia “Chippy” Kotary and Hazel Selvetti.

    The family wishes to thank Hospice & Palliative Care for the wonderful care they provide to Dorothy.

    Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 6, 2019, at 10:00 A.M. at Strong-Burns & Sprock Funeral Home 7751 Merrick Road, Rome. Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Monday from 2-6 P.M. at the funeral Home. Interment will take place in Lee State Cemetery.
