Obituary of Elouise Johnson

Elouise Johnson Elouise Johnson, 86, of Rome, passed away on July 13, 2019, at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born on March 7, 1933, in Quitman, GA, a daughter of the late Monroe and Annie Bee Campbell Smith. She attended school in Florida. On September 20, 2019, she was united in marriage to Willie C. Johnson. Elouise was employed by the Marcy State Hospital as a Food Service Worker until her retirement. She was a member of Mount Calvary Baptist Church of Rome. Elouise is survived by her beloved daughter, Betty J. Colon, Rome; three sisters, Shelly Punancy, Gloria Arthur and Willie Mae Bryant; a brother, Herbert Herron; a granddaughter, Anya E. Colon; one great grandchild, Sky Angellina Elouise Colon; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, Willie C. Johnson; two sisters, Essie Mae Griffin, Lillie Mae Copper; a brother, Adam Smith; a grandson, Rafeal W. Colon. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 19, 2019, at 3:00 P.M. at Strong-Burns & Sprock Funeral Home, 7751 Merrick Road, Rome. Calling hours 1-3 P.M. prior to the service.
