Deborah Johnson Ferlo, age 68, of Utica, NY, formerly of Rome, NY passed away on July 11, 2019. Debbie was born on November 17, 1950 in Rome, N.Y. to the late Reginald and Beverly (Boone) Johnson. Debbie was a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and previously worked at the Betsy Ross Nursing Home and as a Nursing Aid at Rome Hospital. A Catholic by faith, she was a parishioner of St. Mary's Church, Rome, NY. Debbie had a great sense of humor and a quick wit that was appreciated and admired by all her friends and family. Debbie loved music, especially the Beatles, and she loved her family very much. Debbie is survived by her son, Michael Ferlo; grandchildren, Emily and Sandy; sister and brother-in-law, Cindy and Michael Mills of Rome, NY; sister and brother-in-law, Shelley and David Munn of Robbinsville, NJ; sister, Tammy Muldoon of Rome, NY; brother, Robert C. Johnson, of Denver, CO; In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association of CNY 6390 Fly Road, East Syracuse N.Y. 13057. Friends are invited to join Debbie's family in visitation at the Strong-Burns & Sprock Funeral Home on Monday, July 15, 2019 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, with services at 6PM.
