Obituary of Lloyd N. McClendon II
On Saturday, May 11th, 2019, Lloyd Nolan McClendon II, loving husband and father of 7 children, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 38.
Lloyd was born on August 15, 1980 in Atchison, KS to Valeria and LLoyd McClendon. After high school he joined the Army, serving his country for 3 years, which included tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. After separating from the Army, Lloyd went on to pursue his passion for technology. He earned his Associates Degree in Web design from the University of Phoenix in 2013.
Lloyd was a loving and dedicated father and husband. On May, 23rd, 2000 he married Marion Stalnaker. They raised 3 sons, and 2 daughters. He was known to share his knowledge and wisdom in order to help his family to be successful in life. Lloyd loved to play sports, and was great with his hands, he loved to fix things.
He was known for his infectious smile, and his kind and compassionate spirit. Lloyd was the kind of person to help anyone in their time of need, and never expected anything in return.
Lloyd is survived by his wife Marion, his 7 children, Tyrell, Devon, Malik, Dynell, Arianna, Malakhi, Atara his mother Valeria, sister Noreen, brother Jeremy and a very large extended family.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, May 18th, 2019 at Kingdom Harvest Apostolic Church on 706 N Madison St, Rome, NY 13440 at 10 am-12pm. Funeral services and reception will follow.
