Rex B. Moore Sr. Rex B. Moore Sr. 82, of Michigan and formerly of Verona, passed away on April 15, 2019, at the home of his daughter, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on October 9, 1936, in Royal Oak Township, Michigan, a son of the late Grady and Hazel Bilbrey Moore. After graduating High School in Michigan, Rex enlisted in the United States Navy, proudly serving his country from 1956-1960. On December 21, 1972, he was united in marriage to Noreen Bennett in a ceremony which took place in Troy, Michigan. Rex was employed by General Motors of Michigan, until his retirement. He is survived by two daughters and two sons-in-law, Cheryl and Peter Andrews, Janice and Mark Marvin, all of Michigan; three sons and daughters- in-law, Rex B. and Tammy Moore Jr., Kenneth R. and Barbara Moore, Jeffery S. and Wendy Moore, all of Michigan; brothers- in-law, William Bennett Jr., Rome, H. Rex Spell, Michigan; a sister-in-law, Terry Bennett, Verona; eleven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Rex was predeceased by his wife Noreen; a brother, Raymond Moore; two sisters, Mildred Leach and Linda Spell. Memorial contributions may be made to the Rome Humane Society 6247 Lamphear Road, Rome, N.Y. 13440 or the American Heart Association 2 South Clinton Street #305, Syracuse N.Y. 13202. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at Strong – Burns & Sprock Funeral Home 7751 Merrick Road, Rome. Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 9 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. prior to the service. Interment with Military honors will take place in Rome Cemetery.
