Lucille Jane Cornish Lane Lucille Jane Cornish Lane, 89, of Oneida and formerly of Rome, passed away peacefully on January 5, 2019, with her loving family at her side. She was born on April 24, 1929 in Rome, N.Y. a daughter of the late Frank and Evelyn Cornish. She was a graduate of Rome Free Academy and attended beautician school in Syracuse, N.Y. On August 29, 1953, Jane was united in marriage to Clyde H. Lane at the First Presbyterian Church, Rome. Jane owned and operated her own hairdressing studio and later worked for Sanzone Distributors until her retirement. She loved quilting and was both a Girl Scout leader and Cub Scout leader for many years. In later years Jane traveled extensively with her husband around the world providing them with wonderful experiences and memories. Jane is survived by her husband, Clyde, Oneida; her five children, Debra and Paul Jusak, Bellingham, WA, Roberta and Jon Piche, Yorktown, VA, Abbe Eyre, Rochester, NY, Thomas and Laura Lane, Queensbury, NY ,Richard and Dawn Lane, Colorado Springs, CO/Westmoreland, NY; twelve grandchildren, Jeremy Jusak, Heather Jusak, Christine Piche, Michael Piche, Jamie Araki, Jason Eyre, Kaycie Lane, Benjamin Lane, Matthew Lane, Cara Lane, Mackenzie Lane and Cole Lane; five great grandchildren, Jackson, Juliet and Jennevieve Araki, Olivia and Lucas Piche. Jane was predeceased by a brother, Frank Cornish. A celebration of her life will be held in the spring, at a time and date to be determined.
