Merrie L. Archer Merrie L. Archer, 57, of Rome, passed away on December 19, 2018, at Rome Memorial Hospital with her loving family at her side. She was born on November 25, 1961, in Rome, N.Y. a daughter of Francis and Dorothy Clemens Link. Merrie was a graduate of Camden High School and attended M.V.C.C. She was presently employed by UPSTATE CEREBRAL PALSY in Marcy at the D-Amico residence. Merrie also worked as a Home Healthcare Aid for many years. Merrie is survived by her mother, Dorothy Link, Taberg; three son's and daughter-in-law, David and Rossann Hayes Jr., Stittville, James Archer, Rome, Nicholas Archer, Taberg; a daughter Cheyanne Archer, Rome; four step-children; three brother's and sister's-in-law, Francis "Cisco" and Charlotte Link, Mexico, N.Y., David and Clover Link, Redfield, Timothy and Jodi Link, Taberg; a sister Marion Nelson (Greg Gautsch)Wisconsin; four cherished grandchildren, Abigail, Jayden, Saniya and Rogelio Jr.; her boyfriend, Keith Richardson, Rome. Merrie was predeceased by her husband, Robert Archer; father, Francis Link; a son, Cody Archer and a brother, Harold Link. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, December 23, 2018 at 4:00 P.M. at Strong-Burns and Sprock Funeral Home 7751 Merrick Road, Rome. Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Sunday from 2-4 P.M. prior to the service. Interment will take place in the spring in Evergreen Cemetery.
