Obituary of Howard N Smith Jr

Howard Nelson Smith, Jr, age 59, of Taberg, NY passed away October 27, 2018 at 4:20pm after a two year long battle with cancer. He was born in Rome, NY on September 10, 1959, the son of Howard Nelson Smith, Sr. (Dutch) and Patricia Rossi Smith. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. Howard was a family man who loved life almost as much as he loved his wife Linda. They were married on February 25, 1994 and had a blessed marriage with a love that was one-of-a-kind, just like the person he was. Howard always had a joke and a smile for anyone he met. He never asked for anything, but would gladly give the shirt off his back, without hesitation. For the short time he was here, Howard made the world a better place. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Linda Marie Spaller Irvin; daughters, Michelle Marie Henderson, Kimberly Ann and John Burcham, and Kelly Melissa Irvin; grandchildren, Anna Marie, Emma Rose, Ava Marie, Billy Howard and Richard Grant; his parents; sisters, Christine and Jim Malone, and Linda A Smith; twin brother, Michael James and wife Peggy; nephew Colin; and life-long best friend Tim Ramos. He is preceded in death by his sister Debra Marie Smith. In keeping with his wishes, there will be no public services.
