Obituary of Shirley Burch

Shirley Burch Shirley Burch 81, of Rome, passed away peacefully on September 27, 2018 at UPSTATE University Hospital. She was born on December 31, 1936 in Rome N.Y. a daughter of the late Howard and Lillian Bennett Doolittle. She was educated in Rome Schools and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She was united in marriage to Donald Burch and together raised four children. Survivors include two sons, Donald and Robert Burch, Rome; two daughters and one son-in-law, Patricia and Bob Holmes, Ann Beckwith, all of Rome, four sisters, Alice (Phil) Stephens, Susan (Salvatore) Comito, Dorothy (Don) Hanle and Lois Smith; five grandchildren, Eric, Tiffany, Cody, Markie and LeRoy; six great grandchildren, Zack, Seth, William, Ethan, Emily and Alexander. Shirley was predeceased by her husband, Donald. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. at Strong-Burns & Sprock Funeral Home 7751 Merrick Road, Rome.
