Obituary of Stephen James Parsons

Stephen James Parsons Stephen James Parsons, 65, of Floyd, passed away on April 18, 2018, after a brief illness. He was born on April 23, 1952, in Rome, N.Y. a son of Jack and Sharon Wells Parsons. Stephen was a graduate of Holland Patent High School, after graduating, Stephen joined his father and brother David, in operating Parsons Sheet Metal of Rome. He was a member of St. Leo's Church of Holland Patent, he loved to play softball in the Floyd and Stittville Soft Ball Leagues, and was a former Babe Ruth baseball coach. Stephen was an avid motorcyclist who enjoyed traveling to Montreal, Canada. He also enjoyed hiking and cross country skiing. He is survived by his mother, Sharon Parsons of Floyd; his loving wife Marguerite Parsons, Floyd; a son and daughter-in-law, Christian and Alexa Parsons of Seneca Falls, their children, Declan and Grady; two brothers and sisters-in-law, David and Robin Parsons, Floyd, Daniel and Sue Parsons, Hawaii; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Cathi and Richard Savery, Rome, Shari Santiago, Rome and Jacki Cannon, Florida. Stephen was predeceased by his father, Jack Parsons and brother-in-law, Rusty Cannon. Memorial contributions may be made to Unity Acres 2290 County Route 2, Pulaski, N.Y. 13142. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at 1:00 P.M.at St. Leo's Church, in Holland Patent. Arrangements by Strong- Burns & Sprock Funeral Home 7751 Merrick Road, Rome.
