Obituary of "Trudy" Sanborn

Waltraud M. (Trudy) Sanborn, 94, of Rome, New York passed away peacefully on June 26, 2023. Born on May 16, 1929, in Mannheim, Germany she was the daughter of Jacob and Elizabeth (Muth) Müller. Trudy earned her citizenship and came to America in 1956, following the war. Trudy was proud to be a United States citizen and lived a meaningful and happy life in America.

She was united in marriage to Ralph Sanborn on September 1, 1960, with whom she shared a wonderful life and a blessed union until his passing on February 26, 1994. Trudy was an electronic assembler and worked for various companies but was most recently employed at Pass and Seymour (LeGrand), after fourteen loyal years she retired in 1986. Trudy enjoyed golfing and could frequently be found at the McConnellsville Country Club. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Rome, New York.

Trudy is survived by her close friends Linda Finley, Dan Aikens, Arron and Kathy Smith, Edna and Phillip Pike. She was predeceased by her brother Walter Sanborn and his wife Patricia of Rome.

A graveside service will be held at Rome Cemetery on Friday June 30, 2023, at 1 P.M. for those wishing to pay their respects to Trudy are welcome to attend.
