Gerald D. Allen

Gerald D. Allen 3rd, 38, of Rome, passed away unexpectedly on June 28, 2026. He was born on December 24, 1987, in Rome ,N.Y., the son of Gerald D. Allen Jr. and Carmela Stewart. He attended Rome Schools and was formerly employed by Orgill of Rome as a shipping and receiving clerk a job that he truly enjoyed. Gerald was a talented artist and poet. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and coin collecting. He is now welcome into external peace, reunited with his beloved grandmother Carol DeSimone Hayes, where we pray they rest together in everlasting love.

Gerald is survived by his parents; a sister, Diamond Linder and brother Anquawn Linder along with several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to attend a calling hour on Tuesday, July 7th from 1-2 P.M. at Strong-Burns & Sprock Funeral Home 7751 Merrick Road, Rome. A Celebration of Life will follow at 2 P.M. Interment will take place in Cemetery.
