Edward Jones 80, of Rome, NY passed away on June 3, 2026, at the Premier Genesee Center Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Batavia, NY. Born in Utica, NY on January 28, 1946, he was the son of Lawrence Devere Jones and Hazel Dillenbeck Jones. Edward was a kind person who enjoyed spending time with his family and the many caretakers and advocates present in his lifetime. He found joy in simple things, favorite meals, shows, and music. His memory for birthdays, warm smile and sense of humor will be missed. Edward is survived by his brother James (Sandra) Jones and sister Judy Boris (William). He was predeceased by his parents Lawrence Devere and Hazel Jones, and sister Iris Moskal. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday July 21, 2026, at 1:00 PM at the Holland Patent Cemetery, State Route 365. Funeral arrangements have been Entrusted to Strong-Burns & Sprock Funeral Home.
