William Patrick Howard

   William P. Howard, 65, of Rome, passed away peacefully on April 4, 2026, with his loving wife at his side at Rome Health following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on December 3, 1960, in Virginia Beach, Virgina, a son of the late Patricia Howard. Bill was educated in Rome Schools and on November 8, 1980, he was united in marriage to Julie Daniello in a ceremony which took place in St. John’s Church of Rome. He enjoyed magic at a young age and carried the passion with him throughout his life. He was widely known as “Magic Bill”

   Bill loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. On sunny days he enjoyed hitting the links with the crew at Mohawk Glen. During the evening hours he could be found at local restaurants or parties performing magic shows.

   He is survived by his beloved wife, Julie; two sons and daughters-in-law, William Jr. and Kelsey Howard of TN, Raymond and Morgan Howard of Blossvale; an uncle, David Howard of Rome; four cherished grandchildren, Erik, Scarlett, Emerson and Aurora; two sisters-in-law, Diann Daniello and Beth Doria; a brother and sister-in-law, Mark and Deborah Daniello; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.

   Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, from 4 to 6 P.M. at Strong-Burns & Sprock Funeral Home 7751 Merrick Road, Rome. A memorial service will follow at 6 P.M.
