David W. Northrup, 76, passed away on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at home with his loving family by his side at the time of his passing.

He was born on July 25, 1949, in Rome, NY, to the late Lloyd and Gladys Northrup. He attended Rome schools and graduated in 1967.

After graduation, he served honorably in the Air Force from 1968-1972.

David met the love of his life, Catherine R. (Carrick) Northrup, and they were married on April 26, 1975.

He also worked at Revere Copper Products for many, many years. David was also an avid sports fan of the New York Yankees, NY Giants and the New York Rangers.

David is survived by his beloved wife, Catherine; daughter, Catherine M. Northrup; son and daughter-in-law, David M. and Cindy Northrup; a grandson, Albert D. Santamour Jr; sister and brother-in-law, Sandra and Arthur Clark; brothers and sisters-in-law, John and Sandy Northrup and Lloyd and Wanda Northrup; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Mary and Marc Roux; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Wayne and Maria Carrick and Kent and Audrey Carrick. Also a host of treasured nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, sisters, and many aunts and uncles.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Hospice and Palliative Care.  A celebration of life will be held at the convenience of the family.
